Centre for Young Lives is an independent think tank and delivery unit, founded by Baroness Anne Longfield CBE, that is dedicated to improving the lives of children, young people, and families across the UK. The Centre produces evidence, policies, strategy and models to improve children’s life chances.

We're partnering on a research project which will assess the current landscape of enrichment provision across the UK in order to identify areas of low access to enrichment i.e. geographical coldspots. It will then explore effective delivery models, collaborate with partners to design and cost solutions, and promote findings to influence policy and secure broader support for investment in enrichment provision.

This important work aims to provide an evidence base for a national enrichment programme and influence government action on enrichment in the 2027 Spending Review.

“We’re delighted to be launching this important new research on enrichment, which will help us build the strongest possible case for investment in enrichment opportunities. Every child deserves access to the opportunities that build confidence, spark joy and a provide a sense of belonging - and this work will give us the evidence we need to push for meaningful change. We’re hugely grateful to the Ferdinando & Luigi Innocenti Foundation for supporting this project and enabling us to shine a light on the pathway to open up enrichment opportunities for every child. Their partnership is invaluable as we work to ensure all young people can thrive.” Haroon Chowdry, CEO of Centre for Young Lives
